Dr. Isenberg has been in practice since 1998 following the completion of his General Surgery and Transplant Surgery training. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is currently and Attending Surgeon with privileges at both St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital.

Although his practice encompasses all aspects of General Surgery he has a special interest in surgery of the endocrine system as well as advanced laparoscopic surgery including procedures involving the stomach, biliary tract, small intestine, colon, kidney, adrenal gland and hernia surgery.

Dr. Isenberg was an early adopter of laparoscopic donor nephrectomy (removal of the kidney from a living donor to be used for transplantation). With the improved recovery from this technique it allowed him to participate in one of the first anonymous live donations in the country. Additionally he continues to be on the forefront of new techniques in General Surgery by utilization of Single Site or Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery.
